We send photograph updates at each major stage: rough assembly, final shaping, surface finishing and completion. Typical lead times: 6–8 weeks for most pieces, 10–14 weeks for large or complex commissions.

Frequently asked questions

Do you use any MDF or engineered wood?
Never. Every piece we make uses solid hardwood throughout — no MDF, no particleboard, no veneer over engineered wood. What you receive is exactly what it appears to be: solid timber from top to bottom.
How long does a commission take?
Most pieces take 6–8 weeks from deposit to completion. Complex multi-piece commissions or large fitted wardrobes take 10–14 weeks. We are always honest about lead times and will not cut corners to rush a job.
Can I visit the workshop during production?
Yes, and we encourage it. You are welcome to visit our Florence studio at any stage during your commission. Many clients enjoy seeing their piece being built by hand — please contact us to arrange a visit.
Can I choose the specific wood slab?
Yes. For dining tables in particular, we invite clients to our Florence timber yard to select the specific slab they want. The grain, colour and character of solid wood varies — we believe the client should choose the piece that speaks to them.
What are your payment terms?
We require 40% deposit on order confirmation, with the remaining 60% due before dispatch. Payment by bank transfer (IBAN) or credit card. For returning clients, extended terms may be available upon request.
Do you ship outside Italy?
Yes — we have delivered to clients in over 42 countries. All international pieces are custom timber-crated and shipped with specialist furniture carriers. We handle all export documentation.
What finish options are available?
Natural hardwax oil (Rubio Monocoat), hand-rubbed Danish oil, linseed oil, traditional shellac and French polish. We also offer a raw/unfinished option if you prefer to apply your own finish. All our standard finishes are food-safe and non-toxic.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
We offer a lifetime structural warranty on all joints and structural elements. If a joint fails due to a defect in our workmanship, we will repair or replace it at no cost. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, water damage or normal surface wear, which can be remedied by re-oiling.
